Hmmm... shouldn't in this case the router not work at all... device is brand new by the way.
Latest stats from wl0 (wl1 active but not in use):
Received (RX) 14392709 OK, no error
Transmitted (TX) 25548293 OK, 308 errors
Uptime now 1 day 23:58 hrs (I stopped automated daily reboots)

or more likely your wireless clients driver is buggy.
This is a mix of Ubuntu/Kubuntu 16.04, Windows 7, several Android (CM and Sony, LG variants), and Linux on Samsung TV and a Squeezebox. I would not expect these to be all buggy...
I should have added that all devices have the same issue in case of error.

This is not just normal but an extremely good error rate. Thus you don't have any issue at the moment which confirms, it is not the router or firmware, since you didn't change anything there. _________________ KONG PB's: http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/

As Kong said, your latest packet counts vs. errors is WAY lower than your original post error to packet count.
When you posted the first values, you probably had some dirty WiFi for whatever reason. _________________ Router currently owned:

Another outage detected this morning. Ethernet working. WLAN no connection possible from PC but currently 4 wireless client nodes connected to router. I am able to disconnect and reconnect devices (which show up in the routers wireless nodes under status > wireless.

Transmitted (TX) 100% 26008070 OK, 130430 errors
/var/log/syslog
PC connecting to router and obtaining IP address and then starting authentication:
Since I found this somehow working during the last error I opened a telnet connection to the router issued a "wl radio off" and the "wl radio on" command followed by a reboot. Currently WLAN connections are back working on wl0 with wl1 active but unused.
Uptime 3 mins now with approx. 3 500 RX/TX with no error.

Update - after the last reboot the router was up for 13 days and 45 mins before failure (errors described above).
I upgrade to the latest build - Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r30631 std (09/14/16). This build doesn't work for me - Ubuntu and W7 devices got a WLAN connection initially but no internet and no wireless connection to the router's web interface. Android devices worked intermittently. All devices stopped working at all now.

30465 was a really good build from Kong for most people. You could give it a try. Have you also tried 29300 already?
Update - moved to Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r30600M (09/09/16) working ok so far
Just for your info, this version is unstable when using WPA2-Enterprise and the unbridged VAP (with network security) does not work on my R6400.
I am running the BS Build r30356 at the moment, which seems is pretty stable on my setup, but the unbridged VAP is an issue on this build too. Check the ticket(s) in my signature. _________________ Netgear WNDR4300v1 DD-WRT v3.0 BS r29837 | Netgear R6400 DD-WRT v3.0 KB r33525M | Tickets: 5429 IPv4 & IPv6-PD | ProFTP & Samba to USB thumb | DNSMasq DHCPv6 | Pi-Hole on RasPi
@Acumen: Up and running since 2days+ w/ mostly standard settings and WPA2 Personal for the time being. VAP and bridge not in operation right now due to basic issues with the new router HW.

Down again as of mid day today after 3 days of flawless working. Same behaviour as before ping times to the router increase from sub msec to 10+ sec. No internet via WLAN. Ethernet cable works fine.
I am aware that 29300 is a recommended build - unfortunately no version for the R6400 so I decided to move to 30560.
Changes to standard setup: router name; DHCP lease time 7200 , WLAN names, WLAN security WPA2 personal AES and PPoE setup, wireless channel fixed on 6 (neighbors at 2 and 1)
Router Model: Netgear R6400
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r30560M (09/06/16)
Kernel Version: Linux 4.4.19 #97 SMP Mon Sep 5 23:59:47 CEST 2016 armv7l
Errors: none so far
