about wrt32x file from linksys ...
it was a stupid action from me to flash this file without some research.
flashing a file that is not a valid firmware can brick router or even worse, making it irecoverable (since it contain random code that can eventualy alter uboot boot loader).
anyway, i think that uboot make some validation before loading and executing a partition.
but i am fine. for now ...

Hi guys, I have a DD-WRT v3.0-r32014 installed in my WRT3200ACM, where I installed "iftop" to monitoring bandwidth consuming in real time.
On last Sunday I upgrade to r33342 and noted that iftop stopped working. Its was like only outbound traffic was counted. So I downgrade back to 32014.
I tried also update iftop with "opkg update iftop" without success. I got some incompatibility message what unfortunately I didn't take note.
Someone can tell me whats probably went on?
Thanks.
Hi again, regarding this problem I also registered a question in StackOverflow (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46187876/iftop-under-dd-wrt-stopped-get-tx). Let's see if someone can help me with this strange behavior.
Qos problema in r33345
But yesterday I installed the version r33345 that kept the iftop problem above and I noted also a more serious problem regarding performance. My wired computer connected in directly in the router had the bandwidth reduced to 10% of nominal velocity. I have a link of 50Mb for download and a started getting no more than 3 to 5Mb.
So I disabled QoS and the bandwidth was normalized again.
I activated and deactivated QoS many times to prove that the problem is really regarding QoS.
P.S: the same QoS configuration has working like a charme in release 32014. I hope this information can help the developers.

I have QOS setup with no issue on r33342 & r33345 using HTB and fq_codel, I can get 100% bandwidth or reduced amount that is most desired to prevent overuse and also ratelimit guest wifi to 2Mbit.
I'm using HTB and FQ_CODEL too.
However rds2017, I don't know what kind of QoS configuration are using. In my case, I have many kind of rules configured at same time:
- Services Priority: netflix and rdp
- MAC Priority: with 9 MAC Address with priorities varying from Standard to Premium.

Do you have SFE enabled? If so turn it off. SFE and QoS do not play well together. SFE is enabled by default.
I also tried with SFE enabled and disabled as suggested by myersw.

The last 3 builds openvpn stops working after 24-48 hours. I have to reboot router for it to comeback
Thanks for the info! I'll have to find a stable build that will keep openvpn going then.
So far my 3200 running build r33215 has been running 5 days 7:51 OpenVPN with PIA at AES 256.
However, it does give me 4 warnings in the OpenVPN logs about mismatches between local settings and the PIA remote server. So will probably need to get a help request out to PIA.
Btw the 3200 is in my router stack on tier2. And my front router confirms that I am only getting vpn connections from the 3200. Just can't see proof it's a full AES-256. Though I suppose I could put an appliance in between and sniff the exact packets.

wrt 3200's for speed & cpu power, NG R6300v2's for WiFi AP's,
wrt 1200v2 for one of my secure subnets.
wrt54GLs for ad'l 3rd tier machines.
Spuriousoffspring noted that the openvpn does infact work, and that the newbuilds dont have automatic reconnect like older builds did, and yiu just need to add auto reconnect script. Please check out the 9/11/17 build dedicated forum for more info.
I'm on r33345 and I keep having issues with 2 things. First the 5GHz wireless keeps dying and 2nd I keep having issues with the WAN connection. Both are usually fixed by unplugging the router for 30 seconds but it's frustrating. The 5GHz wireless will just disappear and even on the router the LED for the 5GHz wireless isn't on. With the WAN issue it's really odd because the LAN is unaffected but going out to the internet I can get certain sites to load but slowly, ping tends to still work, but most sites won't load at all.
How about USB 3.0 portable hard drive file transfer speeds? The OEM firmware gets about 100MB/s both r/w. How does DD-WRT do? Would like to use this as a cheap NAS and my R7000 only does about 25MB/s.
Looks like it can be done (run 32x firmware on a WRT3200ACM) _________________ WRT3200ACM openwrt 18.06.5

you're posting in the marvell hardware, the r7000 is Broadcom

Nice... I figured as much... Now to do it. I'd love to have the 32X firmware on one partition and DDWRT on the other.
It looks like it should work, but some of the uboot commands I don't know, I don't know uboot that well. _________________ WRT3200ACM openwrt 18.06.5
