I think the dd-wrt buffalo airstation 1750 router i received from newegg.ca last year had old firmware on it. I've been using it but would like to update it but the check for upgrade button under the firmware upgrade tab only produces errors "Error retrieving update information"

currently my firmware is :
Firmware: DD-WRT v24SP2- (06/12/14) std

Can someone guide me from this point...I'm not sure what I should be doing next to update my router's firmware.

thanks

Please read the Peacock thread in the broadcom forum:

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=51486

And also the Wiki:

both of these should help. If you do not feel comfortable take longer to research more. You can still brick your router. DD-WRT is not always user friendly and can still contain bugs.

I take no responsibility if you brick your router
