Hi,
E380AC comes from china with 2 possible firmware: "Luci" native interface or a Special OpenWRT.

I got the OpenWRT one which is super basic.

Can I flash DD-WRT from there ?
Didn't found much on Comfast in wiki, i just found the binaries on FTP.

But there is 2 ".bin"
e380ac-webflash.bin
&
firmware_auto.bin

Is the install process a 2 stages procedure ?
firmare_auto for first install and then e380ac-webflash ?

I would like avoid to brick my AP.

I Finally try to upgrade to DD-WRT

the file firmware_auto.bin is loading but the surprise is that it requires activation.
I tryed then to upgrade with e380ac-webflash.bin and bricked the router.

Would be good thing to update the supported device with a comment about activation

I manage a recovery boot and reflash firmware_auto.bin
but after when i try to reload Comfast stock firmware after reboot DD-WRT is still there.

i am not against to pay 20$ for a good firmware but i didn't see much info on how to get activation code.

1) change ip from PC to 192.168.1.20 with subnet 255.255.255.0 and gateway 192.168.1.1
2) plug the PC ethernet directly on LAN port of PoE injector of the AP
3) Remove ethernet from AP and hence power it off
4) Hold reset button and replug ethernet, keep pushing on reset
5) Continue to hold the unit will light up and then flash
6) At the 4th flash release reset
7) the flash will stop and light turns off. try to ping 192.168.1.1 it takes some time to reply
8 ) open browser and goto 192.168.1.1 a firmware upgrade page pops up
9) the light is flashing blue, then flashing green, then stays white for a while and then goes off.

Problem i am not able to re-install CF-E380AC v2.0.0 !
