if you want to keep the stock partition, just flash the factory to ddwrt file. _________________ My "WRT" rant, and why I have gone ddwrt on x86, no more consumer routers. ( ac86u as access points & bridges )
Wow thanks for that. I was looking for a directory like this! Going to start flashing away! I feel like it's the old android days when you would flash new roms to your nexus device! Lol _________________ Linksys WRT3200acm
You have to log in, and go backwards checking Brainslayers posts. The newest WRT3200 image is in there. Page 107 _________________ My "WRT" rant, and why I have gone ddwrt on x86, no more consumer routers. ( ac86u as access points & bridges )
alot of people download the images for the WRT3200 from here. Brainslayer posted about 6 images since June 1. Last one was downloaded 51 times and the upgrade 71 times. _________________ My "WRT" rant, and why I have gone ddwrt on x86, no more consumer routers. ( ac86u as access points & bridges )
What is the proper way to do fresh install. I have the OEM firmware on the 2nd partition and DdWRT on the 1st. So what's the process to upgrade and fresh install? I want to be sure that i am doing this correctly. There are so many todo guides but I read one thing here and another somewhere else almost from similar sources. Some say you don't have to do 30/30/30 on the WRT3200. And when I do I have to somehow set it up to get into the linksys firmware to flash. So it's kinda like where do we stand for this? Is it possible to flash the OEM firmware from dd-wrt? _________________ Linksys WRT3200acm
do not do the 30-30-30. That is about the only thing that can brick the new "WRT"s ( or any newer router ).
see the link in my signature - 2nd post . _________________ My "WRT" rant, and why I have gone ddwrt on x86, no more consumer routers. ( ac86u as access points & bridges )
Sorry to revive this old thread, but are there any other ways to switch partitions when on the stock Linksys firmware? I'm on a WRT1900ACv2 and I feel like I'm going to wear out this power switch before it actually switches partitions. I've tried this so many times, but still end up on partition 1 (via sysinfo.cgi) and the stock firmware (I am almost certain I have dd-wrt on partition 2). Even if I don't have dd-wrt on partition 2 like I think, should I be able to use the power switch trick to get to the stock Linksys firmware on partition 2 so I can flash dd-wrt again there?
