Hi,

Hope this is the good place to post, if not please tell me

This is a general request for DDWRT (BS or KONG)

All is in the title of my request (or almost...)

TODAY :
USB SUPPORT GUI allow us, via UUID authentification, to :
automaticly mount a Partition to /opt
automaticly mount a Partition to /jffs

this is a very usefull feature, but:

-this only allows to mount 2 partitions with fixed mounting points.
-other partitions, every time router is rebooted can have their mounting point automaticly changed (sda1 become sda2, another time it will be sb1 or whatever, very random process for me...)
-this feature only work for ext2/ext3 partitions (not NTFS)

==>REQUEST :
* allow other fixed points (than :jffs and /opt) editable by user
* ability to automount ntfs partitions or others types...
* add label authentification

It could be due to bad partition table on your USB drive. Suggest to use GParted and recreate the partition table and format the drive again. See if it can fix the problem.

I had problems of bad partitions that I fixed with Gparted, you are right

But there is still a problem now that all my partitions are "clean" (and then mountable) and this is why I have still my request

I have 2 HD , each one with only one partion

BOOT 1
HDD1 is mounted as sda1
HDD2 is mounted as sda2

BOOT 2
HDD1 is now mounted as sda2
HDD2 is now mounted as sda1

this is my problem, simplified

Now imagine HDD1 and HDD2 have more than one partition, this is still the same problem, bigger :p

I found that you have another thread on the same issue on the Atheros forum which I think is a more appropriate place to discuss your issue. So lets further our discussions on that thread instead: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=304776
