New Kong's build for R9000, best in recent days:
Finally made a move form 06/02/17 build.
http://desipro.de/ddwrt/K4-AC-ALPINE/
DD-WRT v3.0-r33525M kongal (10/16/17)
Except the AD chip MAC is still all zeros.
Smartthings hub is working now with this build.
Enabled SFE, no reboots seen yet, fingers crossed... _________________ ASUS GT-BE98 PRO Main: Fiber 5gbps up/down

Hi all, would we consider the Netgear X10 R9000 a well supported bit of DD-WRT hardware at this point? I'm thinking of buying one.
I don't have any specific requirements, just a fast throughput, future proof bit of kit that stays up.

Yes, it is fully supported as of now. With the latest build it is stable now. _________________ ASUS GT-BE98 PRO Main: Fiber 5gbps up/down

Does dd-wrt support all the transmit modes of the factory firmware? 802.11ac , 802.11ad, tri-band, mu-mimo blah blah blah ?

AC radio, no issues, I have repeater bridges connect @ 1170/1300Mbps rate consistently.
in VHT80. There are some limitations using VHT160, like channel availability in in the higher order and signal strength.
AD Radio, different story as there are no clients to to even test this. I have two R9000, but unable to make it link/work WDS.
Anyways the future is bleak for 11AD. Intel announced end of support already.
There are some motherboards being announced with 11AD support which might create some interest for
line of sight short distance connection scenarios. _________________ ASUS GT-BE98 PRO Main: Fiber 5gbps up/down

Does any body know if having the 802.11 AD radio set between “mixed” vs. “disabled” affect the wireless 5ghz/2.4ghz throughput or signal strength/reliability?
Also why in the new BS build do I see airtime fairness for the AD radio defaulted to on? Should I leave it on? Same with noise immunity, only default on for the AD radio. Does anyone know if these affect the 2.4/5ghz radios as well? Would disabling AD in effect make all the options chosen null or does it still have an influence whether it’s set to disabled vs. mixed vs. AD only?
Been wondering about these questions for a long time and yes I read around the forum and elsewhere...
