Hi. I have an AC3100 running DD-WRT v3.0-r30880 std (11/14/16), and I am unable to get gigabit on the WAN port. I have swapped the router out with en E3000 and using the same cable I can get Gigabit link speed. Is there an issue with this build and GB link on WAN? I also wanted to verify what the procedure for going back to stock on this router is, as loading older .trx files from Asus does not work (from the web gui) That would further prove it was dd-wrt if I can get the GB link on stock ASUS firmware. Thanks!

I'm assuming E3000 is not on ddwrt because it's impossible to get gigabit speeds with it. DDWRT hasn't got NAT hw acceleration, but with an AC3100 you should be pretty close to that.

I realize the speeds wont be there with the E3000, I was just using it to verify the physical Gigabit link is there. I tried turning off auto negotiation on the WAN(on the AC3100) and having Gigabit checked but it would not link.

Link Status=Green. That means gigabit connection for the Ethernet Interface.

For Fast Ethernet it will be yellow.

The link shows 100M on the modem side. When I plug into a PC the modem says 1000M. I will try hard coding a computer to 100M and plug it in to one of the unused ports and see if it is yellow. Tried a number of SSH commands but I could not see the duplex/link speed of the interfaces.

Update: I can plug a laptop into the AC3100 side FROM the Modem and I get 1000M. When I plug it back into the WAN on the AC3100, I do get the Green light, but the Modem now says 100M. I have recycled the modem with the same results. I tried the following and i did not get a link at all (Red) Isn't that odd, it seems that a gig link is a gig link...

I have the E3000 and I am having the same issue. So your saying your E3000 give you more than 100MBPS internet speeds? Right now I I get 85 up and down and when I use ATT Uverse router I get 360 up and down. I have DD-WRT Meg firmaware. Is your E3000 stock?
