So there's no build thread up yet. Let's start one:

ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2016/09-01-2016-r30534/

Changelog: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=279466

This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build (e.g. 30534_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless.
If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

Build 30534 - previous build 27858

Router: RT-N66U - primary router/gateway
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r30534 mega (09/01/16)
Reset via GUI: Yes as part of upgrade
Status: Working
Error(s): None so far

After quite a while running without issues (only one I ever had with previous build was a slowdown after months of running and a reboot cured that), I finally got an opportunity to upgrade to the latest version.

Reconfigured everything back to the way it was before the upgrade and all seems good so far albeit it's only been running this new version for a few hours.

I also upgraded my Internet connection (Shaw is rolling out their new 150/15 plan so I bought in. I do need to confirm one thing though and that is whether this router is a potential bottleneck for full throughput on the D/L side. Initial speed tests yielded a top speed of 121 Mbps (Build 27858) and I'll be testing speeds over the next few days to get an average with the new firmware. One last test I need to do is plug my PC direct into the modem (It is in bridged mode) and note the speed there.

I have seen other folks post WAN speeds with this router up to 220 Mbps so I am hopeful I do not have to upgrade at this time. Mind you 120 Mbps is freakin fast anyways! Smile

Hardware: Netgear r6300v2

BrainSlayer. The r6300v2 Web Upgrade and factory-to-ddwrt is broken for the Netgear R6300v2 starting from:

08-24-2016-r30471/ 9/2/16, 1:53:00 AM
09-01-2016-r30534/ 9/2/16, 1:53:00 AM

I have a serial cable hooked to a test unit at all times. I know this unit very well.

I have noticed that the ddwrt file size jumped significantly on 08-24-2016. Also, on a stranger note I have been downloading files at random from the various dates testing different builds. I have noticed extreme inconsistencies in download rates from different files and I can replicate the problem. There is Hard Drive Corruption or File Corruption taking place on the server. You need to check.this immediately.

For example: Builds

08-24-2016-r30471/ 9/2/16, 1:53:00 AM
09-01-2016-r30534/ 9/2/16, 1:53:00 AM

The transfer rate will only allow me to download at 33Kbps while other builds are 700Kbps or faster. I have a 150 Mbps Connection with Various VPN's and have been testing what is going on.

Regardless the builds are for sure broken for the r6300v2 and if I try to mtd write the files and force it the system panics and boot loops.

The build from 08/16/2016 works fine.

All of Kongs builds are also working fine.

The best way to show this is to Do the Install of Build 02/24/2015 as the initial and then watch on the serial with the webupgrade of the last two builds. Total failure. Also get an error.stating the Linux Partition isnt big enough (Using MTD write) that the file is too big

Errors/Issues: Wireless TX transmits even when nothing is connected. This wasn't like this with r30471. QOS's Interface Priority kills the connection to the router after adding Vlan 1&2 and BR0 with manual priority.

Router: Asus RT-AC5300

Transmitted (TX)9226 OK, no error

wl1
Received (RX)2404885 OK, 2 errors
Transmitted (TX)5833805 OK, no error

wl2
Received (RX)0 OK, 2 errors
Transmitted (TX)7269 OK, no error

5ghz wireless strength is weak. About 63% on wl1, and only 15% on wl2. I'm only about 20 feet away with no walls blocking the router.

VLAN 2 and 4 show up as red, and 1 is yellow in the management page, though seem to work fine.

The LED on / off button on the side doesn't seem to do anything.

When the router starts up all LEDs are the correct color. Once the network gets up the network status LED, incorrectly, changes to red.

CPU temperature ranges from 66 to 68 degrees celsius.

Overall, I think the performance has improved for the AC5300.
