wrt54g v7 upgrading to DD-WRT

Hello,

I'm trying to upgrade a hand me down wrt54g v7 to DD using this tutorial https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linksys_WRT54GS_v7.0_%26_7.2. It has firmware 7.00.8.

But every time I've tried uploading vxworkskillev3 I get an error stating "upgrade are failed". Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The title of your thread states wrt54g V7. You also reference that model in your thread.

You are using the install instruction for a GS (wrt54gs V7).

If you indeed have a G (not a GS), the V7 is not supported:
