all of those i mentioned, compared to ea8500. ea8500 is that much better if its in budget, its a hands down buy if so. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

Since hw nat isn't in dd wrt and I can't get the speeds I want, I'm trying a different tact.
I'm using my original WNDR3700v4 for my main router with original mfg firmware, my internet speeds are goo now.
So I'm trying to set my DD WRT router up as an access point in order to use the WOL and DDNS feature I originally wanted.
I've got the wireless mode set to Client Bridge and devices are connecting to it BUT I can't get DDNS to work now. The error is:"DYNDNS: Error: device has no WAN Address"
I've plugged my network cable into the LAN port on the router but I'm unable to figure out how to get a WAN address so the DDNS feature will work.
Is this possible?
Another option is the Linksys WRT1900ACS V2. This is on Amazon for around $170 right now and have 1.6Ghz dual-core with 512MB RAM. I'm using that on my 300Mbps connection with no issues whatsoever.
