I got exactly this problem.
Any news about this?

I have the same model, 868l B1 upgraded from stock to r31221, amazed to get all to work right away.

what i did from base settings.

All i did was
Activated VPN server pptp
Activated USB and made a NAS share
Added a DYNDNS updater to afraid.org

that pretty much what i did.

as in thread i read something about SSH and telnet, i saw that telnet is active from start so i didnt activate it, SSH im not sure what it is.

we had some issues with bandwidth due to a excevator digging and stretching telecable, i lost like 50%.
but i dont care cause there digging in fibre Very Happy

back to what happend, i thought it might be the router so after 24h uptime i did a reboot from admin tools and it booted up into recoverymode.

just keeps looping, uploading a FW, SUCSESS, back to recovery.

and my fault exact same as yours.
Tried same things you did, gonna order a USB TTL cable so i can try that.

Might this be avoided by inactivating Telnet in router?

How did you make the "nvram erase"?

I'm stuck in the same problem. Always in recovery page. Flash firmware seems to work, but no....
