Haven't personally tested, but I'd guess they include the newest mwlwifi commits. Looks to also include some bug fixes that address quite a few memory/resource leaks.

Defunct:
-WRT1900ACv1 @ r31100M kongmv
Retired due to lackluster mac80211 driver development
-Cisco DPC3008
I am going to give it a try. I have been running the November 3rd build because the wifi connections for the devices furthest from the WRT1900AC were more stable.
One issue I have and it happened with the first boot of this build too. I have SNMP enabled in the Services tab. Every reboot SNMP daemon does not start. I have to go to the services tab select SNMP Disable, select SNMP Enable and select Apply Settings. Have to to do this every time.

Latest build seems good. CPU load seems normal again (Dec build as also reported by others had somewhat higher CPU load). WIFI functions seem to work well. Up and running on a WRT1200AC for a day. Good times!
I tried this build and it has been rock solid stable for the last 12+ hours and the wifi performance on both 2.4 and 5 G has been pretty good. Pretty happy with it
I've loaded this on my WRT1900ACS v1.
Actually this is the first DDWRT build that i load on it, because i bought it few days ago.
I can say that LAN performance is perfect as expected - test by file transfer to USB HDD attached to the router.
However the 5GHz wifi has very poor performance - it gets 10-20mbits on AC only setting. I've tried VHT80 and WT40, but there is no difference.
I've spotted around some mentions that this is because of the wireless driver, but these were mentioned an year ago, so any help about this would be appreciated.
Meanwhile i'll continue reading and looking around for solution.

What channel are you using? Is there any interference? If you have Windows based laptop, could you use something like InSSIDer to check for potential interference and switch to a different channel/mode to give you a better throughput.Alternately, try the Status -> Wireless -> Site Survey option to identify interference
I'm using VHT80 with channel as 40, in Mixed mode and works perfectly.

Manually change your 5 GHz channel on the router until you find better speed. This is often because of a regulatory domain mismatch.
I'm using Auto channel selection.
I don't have windows around. Is this going to work tough VM?
I will try with manual channel tomorrow and will share if there are any improvements.
I'm wondering why it may not work with auto channel selection.
Because i switched to the stock partition, do you know a quick way to switch from stock to the DD-WRT partition?
I see there is Restore Previous Firmaware button on the stock - is this going to switch the partition only?
I've tried with few, randomly selected, channels - 48, 100, 149 and i'm getting the same poor performance.
Channel 40 is not in the list.
The only thing from the advanced settings i've changed is that i turned on the beamforming, however it does not make any difference. Everything else is with default values.
The security is WPA2 Personal AES.
I may try more tomorrow, but i doubt that it will make a difference if i try all 15 channel setups.
If you have more suggestions about settings, let me know.
I don't care about 2.4GHz network performance.
I don't care about 5GHz n or any other mode different that AC, because all devices around support AC.
I care only about squeezing the maximum of AC speed.
The router site survey reports only a single 5GHz network around that is running on channel 44 at frequency 5220.
I doubt that it may cause such interference that will reduce the speed 10 times.
On stock i get between 200 and 240 Mbit/s, on DDWRT - i get around 20 Mbit/s
long time lurker, just decided to post, as I'm not getting very fast speeds either,
Just flashed the latest KONG, as I read good things.
I'm using it on two WRT1900AC v1 routers, and trying to do a WDS bridge, so only those two routers are connected over 5ghz AC only, but when I do a speed test, I only get about 60mbps.
Where as on stock, I get around 250mbps, was hoping I would get faster on DD-WRT.
any suggestions?
Both routers show connected at 1300Mbps

Just to confirm your claim, I flashed my WRT1900ACSv2 with the latest Kong's build from January 8, 2017 and was at first happy that 5GHz was working. Few moments later, I discovered that the performance was very poor. I tried mixed mode instead of AC-Only but to no avail. I decided to revert to the 12-15-2016-r30949 found http://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2016/12-15-2016-r30949/. This build unfortunately doesn't support 5GHz but at least have better and stable performance on 2.4GHz.
I wish the performance issue with Kong's build can be improved... it will be much better than any other build out there in terms of supported features. While I do appreciate Kong's effort and those of others trying their very best to help, I want to say this... Most of us invest money on these expensive routers because of better performance but unfortunately, there are very few available firmware (if any at all) to get the very best out of the routers. Sad really :(
OK with the next release a will see if i can find a regulatory setting (5Hz AND 2,4Ghz band) that is OK for my country.
Not more test possible for the moment. The router is heavily use'd (with the stock firmware)=> Kong's 01.08.17 does'nt like my Local LAN base adr. 192.168.0.1...
