Hello!

Just wanted to start this thread to let the Dev's know today I have sent via FEDEX one unit. Should arrive next week.

I have been in contact via email with Noah Amir.

This is the unit I sent:

TP-LINK ARCHER C50 V2.0
https://wikidevi.wi-cat.ru/TP-LINK_Archer_C50_v2.x

Very promising Router indeed, hope developers can release it soon!

Thank's for all,
Cheers!

Who is Noah Amir and why did you talk to him and not the actual DD-WRT devs ?
The donations should be done as described here:

Yeah, don't worry. I followed those instructions. I have donated routers in the past. Noah Amir is the one that replied to my email before sending the unit.

Devs should receive the router Tuesday next week. Sent the info with tracking number on that email.

If I need to send it over PM to any particular Dev please advise and will do it.

An ac router with only 8mb of flash isn't very promising.

For me absolutely it is!! Fantastic Bang for the buck, Gigabit ports is the only bummer, but other than that is perfect for household needs. Hope Devs can make the FW soon Cool

for the user, sure, if it works. for the devs that will be a sardine fit & will probably have oversize problems over time. this unit has the ath9k & ath10k drivers to fit. instead of just 1 driver for both radios.

Why don't you email this Noah Amir (which I've never heard about before) and ask him what has happened to your donated router?

Hey LOM, thanks for replying!

I have donated Routers in the past, i followed the instructions at https://dd-wrt.com/donations/

Im going to COPY PASTE our email exganges.

All Started when I sent an email to: hardwaredonation@dd-wrt.com

1st email i sent on: January 10th 2017
Subject: TP-LINK Archer C50 v2.0 and C60 v2.0

Quote:

Hey guys! Longtime fan of your Project. I have donated hardware in the past 

Just wanted to first ask for support/opinion on this TP LINK Routers:

Archer C50 V2.0
https://wikidevi.wi-cat.ru/TP-LINK_Archer_C50_v2.x

This new version (v2.0) has the CPU: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9557

Archer C60 v2.0
https://wikidevi.wi-cat.ru/TP-LINK_Archer_C60_v2.x

And this one has the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9561

Specs on both seem to be doable. I would like to know if you could find EITHER model in Germany and then I’ll just donate the money instead. If not, well ill have to send one! Via FedEx, have done it before back in 2013 I believe!

Please let me know your thoughts.

My best Regards,
-Nikita

Then on the 12th of January 2017 i got a reply, this is it:

Hi,
a Donation for this device is needed. We appreciate recieving the devices not money. We would develop for each device if you send us both.
For more informations about how to donate see Donate on our Website:

So after following the steps on the donation section, i sent the unit via FEDEX. I also sent an email to info@dd-wrt.com with the shipment info:

Quote:

You don't need to send me anything, I am not a dd-wrt developer.
Instead you should send an email to Noah and ask him wtf has happened with the router which he has asked for a donation of.
There is not much use asking that question here in the forum..
