This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build. Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build. _________________ THERE ARE NO STRANGERS HERE; ONLY FRIENDS YOU HAVEN'T YET MET.

DD-WRT CHANGELOG | DEVICES | DD-WRT BUILDS | KONG BUILDS | UNOFFICIAL BUILDS | DD-WRT in VIRTUALBOX
- DIR-615H
- Installed over previous FW
- works great up to now
- little exception; updated RepeaterBridge via WIFI, could reach RB after update only after power off/ power on
I know updating via WIFI is not the most secure way but it's the easyest way to get into contact with a device lokated up on a cupboard.

Note to people with factory firmware on Dlink 810L rev A1, you MUST use ddwrt factory to image 25815 first! Otherwise you risk bricking the unit (which happened to me). Fortunately Dlink replaced mine with my receipt copy (me<---whistles innocently and quietly!)('')
And also, once you're on DD-WRT, use the putty/telnet update option, as some ddwrt firmware is too big to fit. But telnet will tell you it's too big.
For a Wireless AC unit with no external antenna, I get pretty good 2.4 reception with router located in basement and thru 2 wood floors on my Amazon Kindle 7. Able to stream HD movies fine, DD-WRT status signal quality shows 90%.
Router: Dlink DIR-810L A1 (max wireless power is 20dbm)

Kernel: Linux 3.10.104 #2444
Status: OK so far

First off thank you so much DDWRT devs! Previous factory Dlink 1.03 was dropping all wireless/SSID broadcast during heavy loads
This is the first build (since 30731) that was able to fit/update via telnet. Between 30731 and 31221 it wouldn't fit "image is too big".
At first update DLink 810L A1 acted weird, 5ghz wouldn't show up, 2.4ghz SSID broadcast would cut in and out, very slow gui. I did cold reboot and unplugged power for 30 seconds, and it's working much much better (setup as router/wireless ap mode/20mhz and manual wireless channels for both 2.4&5ghz)
This device doesn't have ability to choose wireless by "country", so make sure to manually setup your channels that are legally valid. Otherwise in my case, those illegal channels didin't show up in SSID if I left wireless channel to "auto".
After I changed 2.4ghz and 5ghz wireless mode from "Mixed" to "N" only, I noticed better wireless download/upload speeds.
- D-Link DIR 615h
- upgraded via ethernet from r30949 without reset
- internet via ethernet and wifi works fine after reboot
- http web interface isn't accessible anymore, not even after power-cycling (google chrome says "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED")
- i've been running with ssh disabled, so i guess it's time to reset the router _________________ Asus RT-AC87U
