This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build (e.g. 29440_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.[

Router: Netgear R7000
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r31780M kongac (03/26/17)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.56 #286 SMP Sun Mar 26 12:47:05 CEST 2017 armv7l
Upgraded: "ddup --flash-latest" via PuTTY, coming from r31575M
Reset: No
Status: Working well so far, possibly a wifi improvement
Errors: None observed yet

CPU Clock: 1200 MHz
Temp: CPU 60.2 °C / WL0 49.0 °C / WL1 50.7 °C
Active IP Connections: 1169
Wireless APs: 6 Physical/Virtual (3 in 2.4 GHz, 3 in 5 GHz)
Services: DHCP, DNSMasq, USB/JFFS2, SNMP, QoS, YAMon 3.2.5, SPI Firewall (until I figure out FWBuilder to external)
Supported Clients: 60+ (8 PCs, 4 tablets, 1 Buffalo NAS, 1 HP printer, 6 mobiles, 8 Samsung/DirecTV TVs/Genies, 16 Wansview/Linksys/Foscam webcams, 6 WeMo/AVI-ON utilities, 3 Honeywell thermostats)

General comments:
Uptime 60 minutes. So far, r31780M feels like a wifi improvement over the previous build I tried (upgraded to r31575M from r31571M and with a reset), where wifi signal felt degraded. Wifi connectivity feels noticeably more solid again (streaming) with r31780M - especially for the webcams, and mobile devices on the move. Thanks Kong, Brainslayer for continued hard work, and to the DDWRT community

Every version after 31520 breaks the backup script. Here's the errors I get;

/opt/BkpScript/backup2: line 38: egrep: not found
/opt/BkpScript/backup2: line 91: egrep: not found

Not sure what's going, Just letting you know kong.

egrep command is no longer installed. "grep -E" can be used instead.
I fixed the script by editing it, and changing those two lines as follows:

line 38: DDVer=`grep -E -o '[0-9]{5}*' /tmp/loginprompt`
line 91: nvram show 2>/dev/null | grep -E '^[A-Za-z][A-Za-z0-9_\.\-]*=' | awk -F= '{print $1}' | sort -ruo ${VARFILE}

i wasn't able to ddup from 31575 for some reason, couldn't resolve the desipro.de host. so manually upgraded from web admin.

no problems after that, ddup works from this build.

thanks kong and BS.

The hardware on the R7000 can support 1gbps through wan->lan and lan->wan.
