I recently was handed a Asus RT-10+ and I have read a couple of threads on this router, but they are quite old. The router database suggests 21061, but that is also quite old (although newer than the versions the threads mentioned). I assume there is a better/newer version? Are there any problems with this version I should know about?

Check the hardware revision as RT-N10+ has a few revisions and they use different CPU. It seems that only B1 and D1 are supported. Make sure you flash the correct build for your router as it may brick your router if you use the wrong one.

Thanks, and how do I tell with certainty which version it is?

EDIT: Never mind, I found it in the FCC ID with a B at the end.

My seldom-used RT-N10+ B1 has 29002 on it. It makes a decent travel router but not enough flash memory for an IPv6 or OpenVPN build.
