I had a radio that wasn't working on my DLInk router. I solved the problem by flashing my bios with the latest available version of dd-wrt firmware and changing channel settings. But I attempted to change the password back to default and ended up losing it. Now I can't access the dd-wrt interface. How do I reset my password?

I don't want to do a reset of the router because it is working well and my tenants depend on the wifi connection. A hard reset could have unpredictable consequences which could result in more down time. They were already frustrated and angry over the 1-week outage that we went through before I figured out how to solve the problem.

in that case use hammer....

i do believe that you probably understand that passwords are secured, so there is no other way around, otherwise whats the purpose of passwords...in your case reset is the only option..next time save your passwords...or memorise them...

I think I invalidated the previous password but did not create a new one. Is there a way to find out if there is even a valid password in existence, and if not, would it then be possible to create one without resetting the router?
