SOLVED.. Windows 10 Creator was the problem

Have WRT1900ACS. 5GHz Wireless Adapter connected fine with stock firmware using the following settings...

AC Only
80hz
Ch 161

After flashing I set same settings for 5GHz with the exception of the channel, which I tried at 149 157 and various other channels since channel 161 does not show up in the list when I choose 80hz.

Any ideas ?

What wireless adapter do you have, and did you try AC/N mode on the router?

So I got the 5 GHz to connect finally but it was back to another problem I experienced with my other adapter, which was super slow transfer rates. It got me to thinking what has changed on this laptop that has not changed on the other devices that are connecting fine and then it hit me... Windows 10 Creator Update !!! I reverted back to the previous build and it connects fine and speeds are great.
