when i tested R7800 it was passing near gigabit on wan, sadly
i havent test it recently i have 60 mgbit ISP on this unit now
i guess check your cable, settings or so.....
do you use vpn ? if so check your vpn settings

All checked, and with vpn i just get 20mbs lol and dont know why ... Maybe someone also can help me with this ?
With the stockfirmware from netgear i get the full speed... but then i have no vpn

Most VPN providers do not give you more than 20Mb/s
In all cases test the VPN with the VPN server closest to you.
In some cases the ISP throttles VPN, test with different non standard ports e.g. 443.

well do keep in mind with stock firmware there is CTF cut through forwarding witch is a kind of a acceleration and its not DD-WRT supported due to security issues and so DD-WRT uses software NAT instead witch is router CPU dependant...
Also bear in mind VPN speeds depends on encryption used so if you use the lowest level it will be faster than highest level encryption VPN _________________ Atheros
