In my current network I have the main router as the ISP provided router and I have an extra AP connected by CAT cable to the basement. It's only a repeater/range extender in terms of functionality but I still want to see all the devices connected to it. I want to access the Web GUI but don't know how. How do I port forward and setup the Web GUI so that I can access it at home or elsewhere? The ISP router is the Netgear C3600BD running the original firmware and the AP is the Netgear WNDR3400 running DD-WRT.

If the WNDR3400 is connected via cable to the gateway router, than it is just an AP; not a repeater (bridge). You access the web GUI via its IP (same for a Repeater Bridge actually); did you set it static? Usually one would use 192.168.1.2, e.g. If its DHCP, run `arp -a` or similar to see the currently connected devices.
As for remote access, it's by far best to use VPN, and then just access it like the LAN. _________________ #NAT/SFE/CTF: limited speed w/ DD#Repeater issues#DD-WRT info: FAQ, Builds, Types, Modes, Changes, Demo#

I want to setup a VPN on the WNDR3400 will it matter that it's behind the other router or should the PPTP server work fine?
