I am on my second replacement WRT3200ACM from Linksys. The first one being bricked with the wrong version of OpenWRT installing over the main boot partition.
I finally got my replacement in after 3 weeks and installed the newest update of DD-WRT which worked perfect, except the 5G bands not showing up on half of my devices and the other half failing to connect.
After successfully downgrading to a previous version I realized that the new CUJO that I received seemed to break my internet when trying to use with DD-WRT.
I've tried multiple times switch the boot partition, but it seems like either the new version of DD-WRT has overwritten the Linksys partitio. Everytime I switch partitions it just switches between the older and the newest versions of DD-WRT.
If I try to upload anything except DD-WRT firmware to my router (OpenWRT, LEDE, Linksys), I get a connection reset error and my router restarts and switches between DD-WRT versions.
Has anyone had problems like this? I have tried everything I could think of (telnet, tftp, ssh) but no firmware except DD-WRT firmware will upload.
You overwrote the Linksys partition when you flashed an older version of dd-wrt while being on dd-wrt.
So you keep making Linksys and other users pay for your mistakes.
Before you mess another one read the long wrt3200acm thread here.
If you google, there is a way to flash back to stock using a USB stick. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.
