I just received my WRT1200AC v1 today and flashed it with factory-to-ddwrt.img I got from ddwrt.com when I did a database search. The flash went OK and all seemed to be fine. I was monitoring available wi-fi connections on my phone as I was eating lunch and noticed that the wi-fi for my router kept going off and on. Finally it went off completely. It does not show up on my laptop available wifi connections either. I made no changes whatsoever. It just seemed to stop broadcasting. The router is functioning as I have three wired devices connected, including the one I am typing on now. I would send it back to Amazon but I can't with the DDWRT firmware on it. Is there a way to revert back to factory so I can return it? Any suggestions?

I assume you installed the DD-WRT firmware from the database and not from the ftp beta site. So first thing is to get a up to date DD-WRT firmware to install. Early were flaky. Also be sure you understand there are 2 partitions on this router and any installs/updates go into the non-active partition. Easy to over write the Linksys firmware, which I suggest you do not do.
I got the firmware from dd-wrt.com from the database as I stated. I do not know what you mean "2 partitions". I installed the firmware by going to "update firmware" and I selected the aforementioned .img file and waited for the router to flash. I then opened DDWRT and setup a new router name and password, wireless security key, and new IP, pretty much as you instructed in your previous post.
I visited the link you referenced and copied the contents of your post to notepad for reference. My build is v3.0- -r28788 (01/13/16).
What I would like to do is determine why the WiFi quit, OR reflash it back to factory so I can return it to the vendor as defective.
Can you help?

That build you are on is ancient. Get new build from the link I gave you for ftp site.
You obviously have not read the thread I referenced you or you would not be asking the questions you are. Start by reading and understanding about the router and its 2 partitions. If you only flashed once then the Linksys firmware is still on one of the partitions and dd-wrt on the other. Again read the thread. _________________ Unifi Security Gateway:Unifi Firmware Netgear r7800:Voxel Firmware Modem:Netgear CM500V voice and Data. I read the extremely clear and helpful reply I got at the Linksys Community forum. I will follow his/her instructions.
I still question why dd-wrt.com would reference a file in it's database if it is not correct. It was dated 01/13/16 which is far later than the 2015 build referenced in the thread myersw furnished.
Did the power off/power on thing three times. Now back to factory firmware and radio works now! Problem was with the build of DDWRT apparently.
Thanks to all you guys/gals who offered assistance. I think I have learned my lesson! I'll leave DDWRT on all my old WRT54GLs and keep the WRT1200 stock.
