I was on DD-WRT 30880, everything looked good, until I followed http://bouli.ihostfull.com/?i=3 to enable SoftEther.
After putting all these commands in the startup commands:
sleep 15
vpncmd localhost:443 /SERVER /PASSWORD: /CMD ConfigSet //tmp//vpn_server.config
sleep 15
brctl addif br0 tap_vpn
and restart the router, it went into a limbo, only the power light flashed.
I did 30-30-30, I did reset (pressing reset 10+ sec after connecting the power)
Never get to the basic firmware rescue/upgrade page.

Anyone can give me a hand?

To get to the cfe miniweb firmware recovery page, you are supposed to power off, press and hold down the reset button, then while still holding the reset button down, power on and wait 5 secs before releasing.

Isn't that the so-called 30-30-30? I tried 303030, static my IP to 192.168.0.100(and also 1.100), can not see the page on neither *.0.1 nor *.1.1.
The the ethernet port had no light on or flash.

If the button isn't working, you may need to get a serial setup and erase the nvram. That is where the startup would be set....so if 30/30/30 isn't working...serial is your only option.

No. 30-x-30 is to erase nvram; the 'hold reset for 5sec after power on' procedure is specifically to bring up the mini-CFE web flash page on 192.168.0.1. You need a static IP to access it (like 192.168.0.10).

If an nvram setting is the issue, and 30-x-30 doesn't actually do a reset on that model, and nor does the mini-CFE web flash, then you'll need a serial connection to run `erase nvram` after it boots (application mode).

If it isn't booting, then you can break CFE (ctrl-c) right after power-on to run `nvram erase` (bootloader mode).

To reiterate:
bootloader mode -> nvram erase
application mode -> erase nvram
