Hello. Excuse my english, isn't my native language.
I have a TP-Link TL-WR741ND v1.8 router with
firmware DD-WRT v3.0-r32170 std (06/01/17).
I had notice that the activity led in the modem provided by my ISP, is allways blinking even when I turn off WiFi and disconnect all lan connections (only 1 cable connected, between router and modem).
I had tried turning off NTP service and DDNS. Furthermore I had change my router's password and set to only some IPs to managed it (mine and others devices that I know theirs IP).
The main reason to all of this is that I play online games, like FIFA 17 and Overwatch. I have lag all the time. Yesterday, I try connecting my PC directly to the modem and I can play flawleesly and web pages load faster.
I connect 2 wired PCs, 1 TV and 2 wifi cellphones. When I play, generally I try to turn off or disconnect all other devices and check the internet usage from my PC. In idle mode, my PC only use 200Kb more or less (mails, dropbox, etc.).
Do you know what could be the fault configuration or whatever with my router?.
Thank you in advance and excuse my english again!.
Sarandinga2.

ur problem is no qos, or qos configured wrong. go to qos tab & enable it, enter:
port = wan
packet scheduler = htb
queuing discipline = fq_codel (if its there)
downlink = 11264
uplink = 1126
apply settings at the bottom, do dslreports.com/speedtest again. that latency for the upload test needs to be & should be much lower. _________________LATEST FIRMWARE(S)
