Hi guys,

I've just got a WNDR3300 router to install DD-WRT onto and use a VPN. Started looking at the guide, located at http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Netgear_WNDR3300#Can_I_use_NEWD_or_NEWD2_builds.3F and went to download the initial firmware, step 3 of the required preperation part, located here ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/V24_TNG/svn12548/dd-wrt.v24-12548_NEWD_mini_wndr3300.chk

Unfortunately, the file no longer seems to be there. Does anyone know where I can get it? Smile

Thanks
Chris

Here. ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/V24_TNG/svn12548/dd-wrt.v24-12548_NEWD_mini_wndr3300.chk

I fixed the links in the wiki.

Hello,

3 years later, it appears the dd-wrt.v24-12548_NEWD_mini_wndr3300.chk has gone missing again Crying or Very sad
I checked ftp.dd-wrt.com from the root folder and only got so far as "ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko". The V24_TNG folder has seemingly disappeared completely. I tried poking around in some of the other folders, but I'm pretty lost. Has anyone kept an old copy of the file around?

The router database, which is generally useless except (usually) to show minimum supported versions, shows 13064 for initial flashing. Though for this device, the Supported Devices Wiki shows a 9xxx build as minimum. More importantly, that file is actually available. Smile

Be sure to upgrade immediately after initial flashing to at least 14929. Sounds you're limited to ~3.56 MiB (3648 KiB, 3735552 bytes), so use the mini_generic unless you need other features. More reference here. I presume you have read (and re-read) the device wiki and Peacock announcement!
