Hello,

I'm new to the forum, I need to connect to a VPN with my Netgear WNDR 3400 v1 router, I read this page:

https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Netgear_WNDR3400

and I know a little confused about which version I have to install to help solve the problem.

Does the K26 29440 Mega have this feature?

The Kong 22000 ++ VPN version (office) (which has always been known to brick router)?

Can someone help me?

Thank you

Yes Mega builds normally have OpenVPN client.
Your version prabably has OpenVPN 2.3 that is not a big problem as a lot of VPN providers are still on that version for isntallation instructions

Thank you for the reply.

I tried downloading the mini version "Netgear branded routers" to install on my device but received an error (550 Failed to change directory).

Is there another link?

As your router is an older broadcom device you can find the builds in the Broadcom_K26 directory.

Normally coming from stock you need a trailed mini build with .chk extension e.g.: mini-wndr3400.chk.
Sometimes you also need a particular build number as first flash.

After that you can use the mega nvk64 build.

Read the corresponding wiki and peacock thread for detailed instructions, always reset and put setting in manually.

And of course the builds can be found at: ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2016/04-11-2016-r29440/broadcom_K26/

That is for the 29940 builds I do not know if you can use the trailed mini build from this particular build as first flash, but probably you can
