E2500
DD-WRT v3.0-r33006 mega (08/03/17)
Linux 2.6.24.111 #32307 Thu Aug 3 03:11:03 CEST 2017 mips
[dd-wrt.v24-33006_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv60k.bin]

Just checking Repeater Bridge.
It is same broken its been for 2.5 years.
Create a VAP and it'll break the bridge.

As regular gateway VAP works without security but will not broadcast
if anything better than WEP is set. Prolly last time I tinker with a k2.6
on this --- there is NO advantage now since we have SFE and the k3.x builds
will do just about as fast across WAN.
----
EDIT: Repeater Bridge works very good on E2500 w/K3.x r33006
but time sync is screwed up in RB mode.
An unbridged guest network works fine running as a gateway or as WAP.

WRT54Gv2.2
DD-WRT v3.0-r33006 mini (08/03/17)
Linux 2.4.37 #46171 Thu Aug 3 06:25:54 CEST 2017 mips
this is a 4MB flash 16MB RAM unit
Seems to work ok but he is just a core rev 7 so he can't do
a VAP with any of these newer builds.
---
Attempted to put the micro build on a WRT54GSv5
This box is 2MB flash 16MB RAM ... he did not fair so well
I strongly advise to avoid any of the last several
builds on a 2 MB flash WRT or you will have this:

There is NO easy fix for this. Absolutely no type communication to it at all.... dangit should have used the WAP54G

@mrjcd; serial recovery or TFTP doesn't work on the GSv5?

Kernel: Linux 4.4.79 #1802 Thu Aug 3 07:44:29 CEST 2017 armv7l
Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r32170 std (06/01/17)
Mode/Status: AP Working
Reset: NO reset during firmware upgrade
Issues/Errors: None (I don't use VPN)

1. Clicking Disable, Apply Settings, then Enable in Services->Core USB no longer caused DD-WRT to crash like build 31899
2. LAN LED ... too lazy to check! Meow...
3. DDNS function working normally and didn't crash like 31722
4. wireless working normally
5. SpeedTest was slower than 32170 (Download:93.15;Upload:94.60)! To re-test later at night.
6. Re-run SpeedTest at night! Better result (Download: 93.85; Upload: 95.62):

BTW,
1. In the Help box right side of Setup->Basic Setup, no information for "Shortcut Forwarding Engine" and "STP"!
2. Two new functions in Status->Sys-Info: Wifi Checker and DNSCrypt
3. Adblocking->Privoxy... new feature?
4. Services -> NAS .. new feature?
5. Services -> SpeedChecker the same as Wifi Checker

So i am using a wzr-1750DHP and i enabled DNSCrypt, just the EncryptDNS with DNS Crypt Resolver set to Adguard DNS Family Protection 2 and i haven't had any speed issues or issues with reaching sites but in the log i see this numerous times, daemon.info dnscrypt-proxy[1888]: The key rotation period for this server may exceed the recommended value. This is bad for forward secrecy, now when they say BAD for secrecy just how bad is it, do they mean walking down an alley at night, or a horny man going in a brothel without "protection"?

I have also seen this user.info : - [adguard-dns-family-ns2] does not support DNS Security Extensions is that good or bad?

Whether that is bad or not, depends upon what you call "bad".

Most websites do not support DNSSEC, so its benefits are minimal.

I call the brothel bad the dark alley is fine with me.

So enabling the DNSSEC is just for those sites that use it or some other form of encryption? I tried running my tunnelbear VPN with this and it worked but the speeds drastically diminished and it took longer than usual to connect to the VPN.

If the NSA or some service from another country would be snooping on your connection, they could crack it, otherwise there is no reason to worry.

You know how I despise opening up the box..... I did fix it earlier today. Setup behind
a switch, continuous ping, power cycle few hundered times I finanlly noticed 1 ping
returned -- sometimes 2 but never more and found at last known IP 192.168.1.10
Seemed approx 20 ~ 30 power cycles (variation on quick/slow in/out w/power cable) it
would show a ping so I setup TFTP. Tried many builds until hit the jackpot with
dd-wrt.v24-12548_NEWD_micro.bin .... so the WRT54GSv5 lives again Cool

Just like winning the lottery, except you have pride and accomplishment instead of that pesky money for family & friends & forum patrons to mooch. Razz

QOS on further observation upload is not working.
Download is good / upload all over the place. Used HFSC & HTB w/fq_codel on 10/1 cable connection. Several different UL settings had no affect....bufferbloat go off chart where DL always good and complies with settings.
Working in previous build used.

Connecting to router via SCP by FAR-Manager's netbox.
All files/directories have timezone before their names, thus making impossible to work with files:
+0300 dir1
+0300 dir2
+0300 file1
...
This bug exists on different routers in the same manner.

Router/Version: Asus AC87U
Firmware: r33006
Kernel: Linux 4.4.79 #1804 SMP Thu Aug 3 08:00:58 CEST 2017 armv7l
Previous: r32753
Mode/Status: Router/PPoE w/ QOS + Access Restrictions, Debian Chroot 2.4/5Ghz wifi
Reset: No
Issues/Errors: Wifi/internet constantly drops

The only errors in the logs are as follows:
Jan 1 00:00:18 HomeHub daemon.err dhcp6s[1549]: dumpfile: option refreshtime 900;
Jan 1 00:00:18 HomeHub daemon.err dhcp6s[1549]: dumpfile: option domain-name-servers ;

Jan 1 00:00:18 HomeHub daemon.err dhcp6s[1549]: dumpfile: };
in red and the following in yellow:
user.warn igmpproxy[2689]: The origin for route xx changed from xx to xx

which i have had before but they cause no issue as far as i can see, however this build causes wifi to constantly disconnect devices and upon reconnect the internet also disconnects for a moment. This has been happening alot on recent builds, i really need to find a stable build for the AC87u as the kids drive me nuts when it goes down for a moment, anyone using an ac87u that can help me with the last stable build?

Thanks

What if you turn off SFE in Setup->Basic Setup? SFE (Shortcut Forwarding Engine) is a new toy in recent builds.
