New here and to dd-wrt. I installed the latest firmware on my new Linksys WRT3200ACM today and it seems to be working pretty well. However, while 5G gets ~170Mbps pretty consistently, 2.4G is never getting over ~35Mbps and often dips down to 10 or less. I've scoured the forums and even tried to match some settings, but nothing is helping.
Right now, wireless mode is "Mixed" and I have the channel width at 20MHz on Channel 11. Any ideas what could be causing this? Any ideas would be appreciated - thanks.

Try changing the channel width to Dynamic or 40.
There's always a trade off between speed and range.
Lower channels can go through walls a bit better, but don't have the bandwidth of the higher ones.

r33006 died after 9 days uptime on 3200acm. Router UI stopped responding, both 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz LEDs where on but no host could connect to the router.
The problem started 2 days back when iOS and macOS devices started having trouble connecting to either radio. Devices had to be restarted to connect to the router.
Now, all types of devices stopped connecting. Had to power cycle the router.
Yeah my 1900ACS reboots every day. Had DDWRT on it for 2 days now and uptime is only 1 day same as yesterday.
Really feel like returning to amazon and getting netgear P7000P.

I'm surprised to read you are having issues. My Linksys WRT1900ACS V2 runs great with dd-wrt r33006. No reboots, no memory leaks, great wireless performance. I schedule it for a reboot every Monday at 2am, and outside of that scheduled time it never reboots.

Dont know the reason why its doing it.
Syslog only shows this early in the morning,
Code:

Might want to look at the r7800 from Netgear. Kong makes builds for it.
I got the 1900ACS for 120 which is same price as 7000P while the 7800 is 50 more so out of my price range sadly.
7000p is not supported by DDWRT and almost the same as very old and outdated r7000 router + useless MU-MIMO. I dont think its a good choice compare to r7800

Also, what wireless device are you speed testing with?
Thanks for the response. Dynamic and 40MHz only make 2.4G slower. I've tested multiple times on my iPhone 7 and desktop. Exact speed numbers are different on the 2 devices, but the disparity between 5G and 2.4G is extreme on both.
