So after several hours of trying to setup a repeater, or a repeater bridge, I finally figured out that the virtual interface will only work if I disable security, or strangely with WEP. WPA/WPA2 doesn't work with AES or TKIP. The SSID will simply not broadcast. The radio works perfectly fine for the regular AP modes with WPA2, this issue is only with the virtual interfaces.
I have tried dd-wrt.v24-33006_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_usb.bin and dd-wrt.v24-33006_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega_f7d8302.bin, heck I even tried gargoyle_1.8.1-brcm47xx-generic-squashfs.trx and openwrt-15.05.1-brcm47xx-generic-squashfs.trx.
If anyone has heard of this before, or can figure out how to fix this, please let me know. |

Repeater modes have known issues on k2.6; only work on pre-26000-era builds. K3X should work though afaik; did you reset after flashing the K3X builds, then manually set up? Search for "repeat*" in threads by mrjcd.
