hi guys i am new to the forum but i am trying to get the right dd-wrt firmware for my netgear nighthawk x10 i want it to be fast and stable i would also would like opinions on the correct versions thank you

IMO stick with the Netgear firmware, none of the DDWRT builds have been stable on this router for me.

Latest kong build 33010m is absolutely rock solid running for 5 days now.
just remember to disable sfe if using openvpn client with policy based routing

hi i have been experiencing low speeds and latency through the router i want to use it for fast vpn using openvpn torguard so what firmware should i use or should i try another non dd-wrt firmware your help would be appreciated

That's exactly what I was getting on my X10 - slow speeds or freezing on my VPN and occasionally losing the WAN. I went back to the stock Netgear firmware and now use a second Asus router behind it for my VPN connections - Merlin's firmware for Asus routers works flawlessly unlike the Netgear DDWRT.
