Hello Guys,

I would like to kindly ask for your help with bringing back to life a Buffalo WZR-1166DHP router I bricked recently. And by bricked I mean beyond serial console recovery.

Actually I was ready to give up on it, but today i got a TUMPA Lite as a gift and that brought new hope.

What I think happened when i bricked the router is that i overwrote/deleted the CFE. I was doing a tftp flash from the CFE prompt. When it finished i restarted the router, and the only thing that happened was that the LAN ports LEDs flashed for a split second. There is no output to serial console whatsoever and it is basically a dumb switch now.

So my question is - can i recover from that somehow using the TUMPA lite? I searched far and wide but couldn't even find a jtag pinout described somewhere.

The CPU is not supported by jtag.

Is there any other way? Flash the bootloader with a programmer perhaps?
