I'm attempting to set up OpenVPN with ExpressVPN's settings. The username that they've provided is 48 characters long, but the username field in the OpenVPN configuration screen only allows up to 32 characters. Is there a workaround for this? ExpressVPN is no help - they just say to upgrade to a newer version.

I'm running D-WRT v3.0-r32170M kongac (06/11/17) on a Netgear R7000.

If it is only the GUI which can not handle more than 32 chracters you can telnet/putty to your router and do:
Code:
nvram set openvpncl_user=123456789123456789123456789123456789123456789
nvram commit

Otherwise you have to make a password file and point to this in the additional config section (have to look the syntax up )
