Hi everyone
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction, because I've given myself a headache trawling through all the wiki's and forum posts I can find, and I'm still not any clearer.
I need to get a second router for VPN, and I'd like to be able to flash DD-WRT onto it.
Our local market is pretty limited in terms of choice, and I'm also not looking to spend too much.
I've been able to find a retailer offering a TL-WR940N v4 and a TL-WA901ND v5 - will either of these be suitable?
Thanks so much for your time |

First of all, neither of those routers support OpenVPN, which at the moment may or may not work via dd-wrt. Secondly, neither of those routers have enough RAM or a fast enough CPU to handle a decent upload and download speed through a VPN.
I would suggest getting a much better router like a TP-Link Archer C7 v2 or v3. Or just about anything in that class, that supports AC1750 or above, those routers all have faster CPUs and more RAM. _________________ Before asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where do I download firmware? I suggest reading it all.
