My ‘d’ build broke SFE. Apologies folks. Pls revert back to my ‘c’ build if you need SFE. Otherwise disable SFE.

Just installed your latest build (33460a) on my 880L Rev A1, seems to be working, no noticeable issues. I don't have it hooked up to the internet as my main router, planning on swapping soon. I upgraded from previous version (first flash from factory), though I can't recall exactly which one. It was a build from 2016 most people had luck with.

Confirming the issue with the wi-fi LEDs is resolved, they turn on and off as they are supposed to!

Thanks for working on this!

Hi folks,

I've uploaded another build to the link below:

https://app.box.com/s/b4v1s342ef2dpd52j02lqtuzi1oiipco

This build should allow PBR with SFE activated. Do help test it out if you're adventurous enough Razz

For DIR-880L owners, this build also fixed the 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless LAN interface LED Razz So now you know whether the 2.4GHz or 5GHz interface is on or off.

Have fun!

latest build as of nov 5th 33679a working on 880L v2

Hello.
I have a Rev A DIR-868L and was able to get factory to WRT loaded from 2013 then I loaded quarkysg Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r33679a quarkysg-std (11/05/17)
All up and running well.

1. I'd like to know if there is a way to configure or change the NAT kind from Port Address Restricted NAT to FULL Cone NAT? I'm hoping that WRT FW can be a good alternative for multiple gaming consoles. Full Cone NAT is preferred for these configurations with same game being played. Although it still remains a game Mfr handling of there games. We've found that FULL Cone NAT helps in this scenario.

2. Is there a configuration on the front case panel LEDs that users can configure? I see that currently the power LED is configured for Amber LAN activity and the WAN Internet globe is configured for amber always on. Doesn't seem to change to green when a WAN port is connected to the internet. Just wondering if this can be changed some place?

3. In the status window, the model of the router says DIR-880L when this FW is applied. Can this be changed to DIR-868L?

4. Can the WRT DNS be configured to pass actual ISP DNS to connected clients instead of seeing the routers 192.168.1.1 address?

Thank you "qarkysg" for your continued work on the DIR series routers. Wink

From what I can read the source codes' Makefile, my builds should work with the 895L, although I don't think anyone with a 895L has tried.

I would suggest you stick with BrainSlayer's or Kong's build unless you need SFE with PBR and/or VLAN tags greater than 15. The developers builds should have newer wireless interface drivers. You should still be able to use the developer's build and have SFE with PBR and 4096 VLANs with the kernel modules I've posted in this forum.

I had to build my own as the builds released by the developers caused my 868L and 880L to go into a boot loop. I posted my builds online so that other 868L and 880L owners can also upgrade their router's firmware to the latest features.

Can you please pinpoint to me on which latest firmware do you mean. Also I don't need more than 15 entries...

If you're upgrading from factory firmware, you have to use the factory-to-ddwrt.bin firmware image.

Once you've successfully flash to dd-wrt, reset to factory default and flash your 895L with the dir895-webflash.bin firmware image file.

Try using the older factory to wrt.bin file from here:
https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2015/10-09-2015-r27944/dlink-dir895l/factory-to-ddwrt.bin

I've noticed that newer factory to wrt files don't seem to work from 2017 when crossing over from OEM to WRT....Older or initial files do...

Is the file size on the 2017 file similar or the same as the 2015 file?

I have managed to flash newest via Emergency recovery but I am having big problems. No WAN ip adress. No 2nd 5Ghz network,etc... Can I flash Kong Mod for Asus RT-5300 on my 895L?
