I've currently got NordVPN which I am unable to set up in dd-wrt (I have tried a number of tutorials - and I know they are a pain to configure), but my subscription is due to end shortly so I dont mind switching to one of the other reputable providers..

Which VPN provider is easy to set up in dd-wrt?

i use ipvanish ... just give it a try, they have step by step tutorials online how to configure dd-wrt and tomato firmware for pptp, l2tp and openvpn.

ptpp guide:
https://www.ipvanish.com/visualguides/PPTP/DD-WRT/

openvpn guide:
https://support.ipvanish.com/customer/portal/articles/2762802

and they offer 7 day money back , if you are not happy you can cancel the subscription within 7 days and that it.

their android and windows client are pretty easy and stable too. they allow 2 different devices to be used with 1 account at the same time at different locations ...

I have ipVanish and it works very well. Easy to set up & use on DD-WRT.
Haven't had any speed related issues with downloads, streaming, etc...

Whatever provider you decide to go with I recommend creating an account with them first - before you commit to purchase.
Within a few days they'll more than likely email you a coupon code.

If you have >70-80mbps from ISP then use PIA which will allow you to use 128bits encryption, thus diminishing performance penalisation.
