Thank you.

Qos and/or LAN throughput is pretty janky on the later builds I've tried out. You seem.pretty adamant about the quality of this build, so we'll see.

Thanks again Wink

As I'm sure you've read, it was the last stable build for the WRT1900AC v1.
Not sure how it will compare to other builds for the WRT1900ACS, but let me know how it turns out.

Is it safe to flash from one DD-WRT build to a lower version via the web-flash image?

I cannot think of a legitimate reason why it would not be. However, that does not mean such a reason does not exist.

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade works the same way.

It's trash.

It won't flash via DD-WRT web update.

I was able to login via ssh and check boot order to make sure I was booting to the the previous functional environment. Almost everything is the way it was prior.

All nodes get 100+ Mb/s downloads except for the Moto X Pure, which is lucky to get 5 Mb/s.

What are the odds that the failed flash actually exploited the prior functional environment and is now being used for some malicious purpose?

I think the 1900ACS is going back to Amazon.

My 1200AC_v1 performs better and is more stable in all regards using various DD-WRT builds.

I can't imagine that something like that would have gone past everyone who has downloaded it previously.
That being said - anything is possible.

You don't need the 31924 build. It's only been the past 2 or 3 that have reported problems with QoS.

Maybe try 33006 or 33180 with a reset.

Also check the new build update Topics for the July and early August builds. See what other WRT1900ACS v1 owners have said about those builds.

Don't give up! Mr. Green I'm certain that you will find one that works for your router.

Considering that, why try to fix a network that isn't broken Wink

I'm not giving up on dd-wrt. I'm still a die hard user. I'm giving up on the 1900ACS and rolling back to my trusty 1200AC_v1. Some router models are just substandard.

1900ACS is actually looking good with the r33257 build from 08/29/2017.

My ancient Mac mini, Moto G3 and Moto X Pure all achieve ~75/15Mbs. All perform better on 2.4GHz than on 5GHz. Every other node on my LAN gets ~130/15Mbs on 5GHz. Considering I have a 100/10Mbs subscription, I am pleased.

LAN throughput is ~2MBs, which baffles me.

QoS seems a bit too aggressive, but that's typically the way QoS goes. It's currently disabled.

Uptime is ~12:00 currently. I'll provide updates periodically until someone tells me to stop.

Thanks for your help and encouragement, spuriousoffspring.

Looks good!

How are those speeds compared to your previous DD-WRT version?

Downstream is ~40Mbs better and Upstream is ~5Mbs better.

I previously experimented with 31825, 31899, 32597 and 33215.

I attribute the improvements to build quality and config prefs.

I just replaced my ARRIS SURFBoard SB6141 Cable Modem for a SB8200 and my download speed went from a max of 260 Mbps to 400 Mbps.
