Router/Version: Asus RT-AC66U
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r33375 (09/19/17)
Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r33215M giga (08/25/17)
Mode/Status: Inet Gateway
Reset: No
Issues/Errors: BRICKED - reboot / recover loop

I originally uploaded build 33375 via firmware upgrade page on build 33215. Bricked.

Recovered back to 33215 using Asus restoration util after the hassle of 5Ghz reported as 2.4Ghz and having to reset / go back to really old firmware before bringing back to 33215.

That's the last 3 builds have failed miserably on the AC66U - what gives ?

E2500
NO good
[dd-wrt.v24-33375_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega.bin]
Won't install.
Try GUI install over r33215M mega (08/25/17), Linux 3.10.107
Comes back with r33215 so I asume it is a few bytes too big at:
7,999,488 bytes
The [dd-wrt.v24-33375_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e2500.bin] is:
8,000,512 bytes so it's NO good either.

E1200v2
r33375 NO good
[dd-wrt.v24-33375_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e1200v2.bin]
[dd-wrt.v24-33375_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-nv64k.bin]
Both these are 8,000,512 bytes
It will put the E1200v2 into a bootloop.
You will have to have a serial cable to fix.
darn dangit ... keep this up I'll have to go find the solder gun to make my
cut paperclip pins a more permanent solution for the serial connection

Installed on Netgear R7000 and have two issues:

1) it shows as DD-WRT v3.0-r33345 std (09/11/17)
2) none of my devices can connect to the 5GHz wireless channel.

once again...The K3.x builds won't fit on an 8M flash chip.

No testing performed.

I guess programmers and developers of DD-WRT BS should calm down a bit.

There is no point to rush.... take your time, don't dash so that no to miss anything obvious.

Well, I'm afraid this is a lost cause. Posted a bunch of notes on the state of this project on the development forum.

It's got to a point where it's just absurd. The last half year or so, most of the releases are just plain untested garbage. Re-establishing communication with users, making use of the issue tracker and getting priorities straight might bring some hope for a restart. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

To post something on-topic: Could not test this because it doesn't even fit on the devices. It's been pointed out 5 or so releases back on the issue tracker, and the "response" has been that this build is even bigger.

QA must be a forbidden word when it comes to DD-WRT development.

Router/Version: Netgear 3700 v3
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r33375 (09/19/17) Will not take it.
Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r33215M Mega (08/25/17)
Mode/Status: DHCP forwarder
Reset: No
Issues/Errors: Will not take firmware too large. Last 4 previous builds bricked the router. Had to TTL to it to restore to r33215M. File size limited to 7,805kb as far as I know.

Router/Version: Linksys 320N
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r33375 (09/19/17)
Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r33345
Mode/Status: DHCP forwarder
Reset: No
Issues/Errors: Use the K2.6 mini build works for this one.

Router/Version: Generic x64bit PC
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r33375 (09/19/17)
Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r33345
Mode/Status: DHCP gateway with NAS enabled
Reset: No
Issues/Errors: Its a miracle this works on the PC just fine. Maybe because I spent some shekels on this system.

I have quickly used it for my RT-AC56U. Seems to work ok, I have not tested it for a long time. Also, it seems to be a larger version of the build 33345 (it has its build number, its date and its kernel version). E.g. it has PPPoE stuff, which I don't use.
