I confirm that I was able to flash my Archer C7 v4 from the TP-Link Web GUI using the images provided. Thanks again!

However, I got an "Unable to upgrade" error message on the Archer C9 v3.

i hope you used the specific file for the c9. for sure you cannot use the c7 file for the c9. the other user here succeeded with it. maybe you have a router from a other region where i do not know the region code yet. but need to know which model it is then (EU, US, RU, etc.)

I used the c9 file of course. TP-Link's web GUI throws the 'Unable to upgrade' error when I try to flash the c9 factory-to-ddwrt.bin image. I have the c9 v3 EU version.

I just installed this on a fresh C7 v4 US and can verify that every feature I interacted with worked exactly as expected.

Thanks to the devs for all their hard work.

I'd link you directly to the file if I could. Start here: http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/other-downloads?path=betas

Click:
2017
10-10-2017-r33492
tplink_archer-c7-v4

And in there you'll see both the (I think) newest dd-wrt build and the original image.

No those two files are for flashing from stock to ddwrt for first time and the second for upgrading from previous version respectively. Usually there is a webrevert file there to go back to stock.
