We need more info in order to help you.

1. What is your internet connection type? DHCP, Static IP what? The WAN port is where the ethernet cord coming from your modem goes.

2. What is the second thing you are trying to do?

3. eth0 is one of the interfaces within the router, just like ath0. eth0 is the interface in which all of the LAN ports are on, it can be bridged (by default) or unbridged to the wireless interface (ath0 in Atheros units such as yours).
