This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build (e.g. 29440_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.
Router: Netgear R7000
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r33435M kongac (10/04/17)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.89 #446 SMP Wed Oct 4 07:56:30 CEST 2017 armv7l
Upgraded: from 33010 via ddup --flash-latest
Reset: No
Status: Working
Errors: None
Up and running for 1 hour.
PPPoE, LAN DHCP with static leases, Qos (HTB, FQ_CODEL), AP mode 2.4GHz and 5GHz, USB storage.
Many thanks to the developers!
I have it start under a Startup script (by directly launching /usr/sbin/openvpn with a config file). I can try to config it via the GUI and see if there's any difference.
Any one else has input on OpenVPN (server and/or client) in this build?
UPDATE: Same with GUI config -- OpenVPN process is not launching. Have to revert to previous working build for now.

Actually, does anyone still have the latest (3rd release) of Kong's build 33010?

Question to the community: what's the process for making an apparent issue known? Is it sufficient to just report here in the build thread, or shall I submit a ticket? (on the OpenVPN thing).
If I am to submit a ticket, I'd be interested to see if anyone else sees similar issue.

Upgraded: from 33010M v3 via ddup --flash-latest
Reset: Yes: erase nvram
Status: Up and running for 6 hours, basic setup as AP, static leases, OpenVPN client ( on PIA) up and running, 2,4GHz, 5Ghz USB storage and DLNA working.
Errors: Yes, OpenVPN with Policy Based Routing does not forward HTTP(s) traffic to the PBR clients with SFE on see: http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/5900.
Kong any chance that this will be fixed?
I sure want to have SFE enabled it speeds things up quite wonderful

Create new certs, same for freeradius, this is due to openssl upgrade. You can see this if you look at the syslog messages. tls_err... _________________ KONG PB's: http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/

Arr...thanks <Kong>. Let me give it a try.
Bad on my part --> I vaguely remember turning syslog off, coz I don't often monitor that. But occasional incidents like this is the reason we should have that enabled in the first place. Will report back once I give it a try.

Upgraded: from 23350M by: flash to latest Netgear stock (R7000-V1.0.9.10_1.2.21.chk), flash to Kong CHK (dd-wrt.K3_R7000.chk), and then flash to this version, all via GUI
Reset: Yes: telnet nvram erase, prior to flash back to stock, then used reset button on stock fw to init it
Status: Working
Errors: none now
I have a 2nd R7000 in wireless bridge mode, also just upgraded to this latest version by using the same steps. It seems to be working 100%.
***edited: fixed a config error and now everything is working! The error was: the older installed version of dd-wrt allowed using single quotes (') in host names in the static DHCP lease list. This new version correctly does not allow DHCP (or dnsmasq) to start when these invalid host names are present.
