Errors: Yes, 5 GHz band disappears.
Hey,
My wl_1 channel disappears from the router settings despite the channel still being available most of the time, similar to this thread: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=939616. It's just not there, not under wireless settings or wireless status, as if the router lacked the functionality. I had previously set the then-present 5GHz band with an SSID and a WPA2 password. I'm not sure how long it took for it to disappear.
I've had this problem with previous releases, I hope it's possible to fix. In the meantime I will try restarting the router/setting to factory defaults and setting manual settings for the 5GHz channel if it surfaces again.
Thanks for all you do Kong and Brainslayer, you are both incredible individuals.
I didn't have issues with the wireless GUI BUT...
I too ran into a problem after loading "New" Build 33435 2017-Oct-08 on a Family's R7000 where radio WL1 (5Ghz) wasn't starting on reboot or power-up, so thanks to Kong for posting the correct code to disable/enable radios I added this script in Startup...
# After installing Build 33425 2017-Oct-08 wl1 radio doesn't start on bootup
# So restart both radios now
startservice radio_off_0 -f
startservice radio_off_1 -f
startservice radio_on_0 -f
startservice radio_on_1 -f
This fixes the issue on the Family R7000. _________________ Home Network on Telus 1Gb PureFibre - 10GbE Copper Backbone

My OpenVPN Server process fails launch.
I have it start under a Startup script (by directly launching /usr/sbin/openvpn with a config file). I can try to config it via the GUI and see if there's any difference.
Any one else has input on OpenVPN (server and/or client) in this build?
UPDATE: Same with GUI config -- OpenVPN process is not launching. Have to revert to previous working build for now.
Create new certs, same for freeradius, this is due to openssl upgrade. You can see this if you look at the syslog messages. tls_err...
Arr...thanks <Kong>. Let me give it a try.
Bad on my part --> I vaguely remember turning syslog off, coz I don't often monitor that. But occasional incidents like this is the reason we should have that enabled in the first place. Will report back once I give it a try.
New certs work. Thanks Kong
Do we have to generate all new client certs as well? What specifically do we need to update? Thanks!
I generated all new certs both server and client(s), and it's working just fine now. Not sure if that's what you had to do, but it works. _________________ Deployed Routers:

I'm also getting an issue where my clients can connect to 5GHz band on my 68u but the 5GHz band has disappeared from the wireless status page altogether. Though im connected. The GUI doesnt show any of my clients at all. Really bizzare.

Mine is working fine with the latest Kong version _________________ Netgear R9000 main router
RAX80 as AP
Kong has NTP Server IPs setup in the firmware, therefore you can leave the "Server IP/Name" blank.
Tried everything: empty NTP server name, 91.226.136.155, ntp4.stratum2.ru with server= and address= in DNSMasq, nothing helps. Router boots up, and not getting correct time, leaves all connected devices with no resolving, unless i disable dnscrypt.
It's pity, rather good build in all other aspects suffers from this errata.
As a temporary solution i've added "date 201710130000" to startup script, it solves the problem for now.

I notice random freeze, I've tried to mitigate this by rebooting the router everyday to no effect
