Evening all,

Newbie to this forum.

I decided to change the Netgear firmware over to DD-WRT because of VPN setup.

Firmware installion was successful and I did all the settings etc. However, the wireless tab is missing off the top tabs...

I searched every where in the forum and can't see any post related to this.

Tried reinstalling the firmware - no luck.

Also tried rebooting the unit - still no luck.

Any ideas to how I can get the wireless tab back??

Many thanks in advance.

well , did you do a reset ?

if not, do a command line reset, login the device with telnet , enter : "nvram erase",then enter "reboot"

if this didnt help, revert back to original firmware , do a factory reset again , then flash back to r33006 or r31899

i flashed this device many times, never had this problem, but i dont use any higher than r33006 for now , higher version have a wide choice of problems at this time ..

nvram erase does not work.

From telnet the command is: erase nvram

nvram erase is when erasing from the CFE.

But some routers get bricked by erase nvram
Notably linksys EA series, Asus AC66 and WNDR4500
So research if it is safe to use, but it is the best way to clean everyting, of course you have to put your settings in manually do not restore from a backup
