Changeset 33525 does show fixes Krack Issues with wpa retransmission.

But, looking at the changsets the Krack HotFix was fixed on 33526 on Oct 17...

http://svn.dd-wrt.com/changeset/33526

But it looks to update hostapd for Qualcomm Atheros. Is Broadcom fine or more to come?

I have over 15 hours of uptime with build 33525 on both R7000s.

Looks like your coming from a very old build I would document all settings and reset nvram with this command...

erase nvram && reboot

Then, manually configure your R7000.

BrainSlayer has release 33525 for Broadcom, so the Krack must be fixed for Broadcom to see a release from him. The 33526 is for more Atheros fixes.

to be fair - patching either side is fine AP or client ...

It does not make sense to read commit messages if you do not understand them.

The change in 33526 only switches some older targets, to the patched version from yesterday.

Units like Marvel/IPQ have always been on our latest hostapd, which he already fixed yesterday:-)

If you look at:

http://svn.dd-wrt.com/browser/src/router

you will see the different hostapd versions, some older targets still used the older hostapd versions.

After over 100+ uptime on 32170M, I updated because of the KRACK vulnerability.

Updated with ddup. Flash went well.

I did have an issue with NTP, but I believe that was DNSCrypt. I removed my previous set NTP server hostname and left it blank and applied settings and this allowed NTP to sync. I believe there is actually a few NTP hosts configured by default in the firmware to workaround this issue now.

Otherwise, did not observe any further problems.

All the main services us on my router in my signature are working as far as I can tell.

Thanks devs!

Netgear R7000 overclocked to 1.2GHz - DD-WRT v3.0-r35965M kongac

IPv6 6in4 (HE.net), OpenVPN (with PBR and split tunnelling), Entware, dnsmasq with ipset

Easy ipset support for the R7000

VPN speed: Download: 77.96 Mbps Upload: 5.00 Mbps (AES-128-CBC HMAC-SHA1)

Yes you can get 50 Mbps+ with OpenVPN on a R7000 if you configure it properly!

Previous firmware was 11-14-2016-STD (NOT Kong) and the router did not require a reset or reconfiguration -- it came up clean on a straight upgrade.

Hello Guys

My R7000 was running fine 28815M, lately I've upgraded to 32170M, then all the late Kong TEST firmware up to 33525M.

The good: download is must faster thanks to the Shortcut Forwarding Engine and now KRACK is patched
The bad: I can't get a stable router, after a couple of hours it freeze with out of memory errors.

I've erased the config (using web ui's factory erase), cleaned jjfs but still the same issues.

Anybody as an idea of what I could try to fix or at least troubleshoot the issue ?

Thanks

I checked the sources for openvpn it is a problem with the configure script, it tries to use my hosts lz4 lib, I guess BS does not have liblz4 installed . If openvpn configure does not detect lz4 it switches to internal compat lz4, which is supplied by openvpn.

Kong will you be re-adding lz4? While not the end of the world it would be nice to have all my openvpn servers running identical configs. I run multiple (min 2) openvpn servers manually via script on each ddwrt router.
