Bgnd: currently using several linksys wrt54gl
(all running dd-wrt)
two as as essentially as pass-through switches,
the others as repeaters/bridges.
Basically, we use mainly the wireless/AP capabilities,
and lan ports.
Was mulling over whether it worthwhile to update to newer hardware especially a recent common/widely-used model.
(the KRACK exploit started this train of thought)
As we're not using many networking/routing features,
I'm guessing a fair number of models, are overkill.
All thoughts welcome,
including 'if what you have works fine, why bother?" |
