No; see his first post. The next build will be...eventually. Smile

I tried dd-wrt.v24-33525_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e3000.bin, but virtual interfaces do not seem to work any longer,as they did on DD-WRT v24-sp2 (05/27/13) mini - build 21676. Has anyone gotten them to work successfully with the new build?

Mark

I did not realize this either but dd-wrt.v24-33525_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e3000.bin is just the initial build. After which, you have to go to one on the nv60 builds.

This is as per

https://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=994136

I haven't tried it yet but plan to with no indication of when the k3x builds will be brought down to the appropriate size.

I have not used the nv60 builds before. I have been using
dd-wrt.v24-21676_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e3000.bin
and it has been working fine, with virtual interfaces. I suppose I could try the nv60 version then the latest nv60.

I actually have two E3000s, one with a flakey 2.4 GHz transmitter. I try on that one before I try on the one in use.

The k3x builds were significantly lower throughput for me and I am no longer using them.

Thanks,

Mark

If you're referring to WAN-LAN throughtput, SFE accelerated NAT has resolved that for k3x (good) builds since 33006; it's only in kernel 3.10+.

Last I tried was 30082. I will give the k3x another shot. Will
dd-wrt.v24-33525_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e3000.bin fit?

nah don't think so, but there's been multiple slim-downs since, so the next beta builds could be the ticket (thanks to redhawk btw for the info on r33529)

Why not just shut this project down? Completely doomed with "leadership" like this.

Do you think that Lineage OS is a great project? Well, they also post builds which cannot boot or builds wherein you hear the calling party talking but you cannot talk to them (which is basically what a mobile phone is for) or builds wherein the touchscreen does not work. And the last official build for crackling does not have KRACK patches due to several hours early build (but many hours after KRACK has gone public).

When people get something for free (as in beer), they should be thankful.

I've already had that conversation with ciscodlink. It's worthless. He specs one person to personally test 100+ routers and he complains about a free product he gets.
Really a grateful person. Must be a joy to live with.
He keeps threatening that he is done with dd-wrt, that he is going to lede where everything is perfect, yet is always back here complaining.

He tried to tell me his post here http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1095430&highlight=#1095430
Wasn't from him. He didn't even know it was posted. Lol

dd-wrt.v24-33555_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e3000.bin
seems to work, at least with virtual interfaces. I do not have fast internet, so hard to test WAN-LAN throughput now. I will do more checking.

Have to flash two e3000s tomorrow, one base station and the other as a WAP linked via the 5Mhz radio. Should I chance dd-wrt.v24-33555_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e3000.bin? If not, can you recommend a stable rev?

Well, 33555 basically works for E3000, if don't know if it suits your purpose, you have to try that in order to find out.

Sorry...I've limited myself to just informing...when I signed on for testing nightly builds...I told BS I would not post unreleased builds....this was years ago.

my apologies...but I don't go back on my word.
