anyone else having issues connecting to this build from a galaxy s8 phone? I cant connect at all, I get authentication error even though it works from some other devices. The problem started on the last 10/17 krack exploit fix build. I have a feeling that the krack exploit fix is causing some kind of issues.
I am not seeing the reboot issues on my wrt1900ac v1 but this is a big issue i have.

Just to let you know, I have a WRT-1900AC v1 with the BS 33555 image on it and it has been up stable for 46 hours.
If it runs for a month with no reboots then I'll be convinced. 46 hours is nothing... _________________ Linksys WRT32X v1 - r45677

Right there with you Yemble.
On this particular build the first reboot was within minutes of install. However, every 'post 31924' build I have tried has rebooted no later than 2.5 days uptime.
They then get more & more frequent very quickly soon after. _________________ DD-WRT Installation & Setup TUTORIAL http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=311117

Currently using this build on a WRT3200ACM, uptime is 3days and 18 hours so far...and going. Not sure if it means anything though as I have a rather simple setup (just 2.4GHz and 5GHz, both with WPA2 enabled).

Since the krack exploit is needing a client update as well I am wondering if this is an incompatibility with the galaxy client that needs to be addressed by Samsung. Then you get the next issue at that time of waiting to see if the wireless vendor will put out a update.
Soapbox on:
Reason I like iPhones and Google Pixel. They do their own updates and do not have to wait for a cell vendor to decide if they want to push an update. I quit often think they figure because you are having issues with your phone you will just get a new one. The iPhone or Pixel are the only phones I would even consider due to update issues as well as all the garbage apps the vendors, such as Verizon, install that I will never use. Currently I am still using a iPhone 6 running iOS 11.0.3 (latest) try that with a 2 plus year old phone from one of the cell vendors. Wife has a 7 with same iOS. So if you like Android phones go to the source and get a Pixel.

Thanks much that explains a lot. I wasnt having this problem with my old dd-wrt build so i guess something caused this in the last few months in the wifi chip driver.

Now after reading the github issues i am not sure if its related to krack patch or not. it seems this is a problem that came from a recent marvel wifi chip driver that probably is added to the newer dd-wrt builds.

I did get the authentication error but only on 5GHz so I changed channels and the issue went away, that was on both an S8 and S8+.

I have two s8+ with no issues running on this build. Make sure your phones are fully update to the latest patches from your carrier.

man, i haven't seen the soapbox tag in well over a decade!! glad to know there were others using it.
as u know, apple has some challenges but they're pretty good. verizon updates are separate from ios updates which we must actively accept before it installs but verizon updates are pushed - just got one today. had no choice but to reply "ok" to the dialog.
also, and fwiw, my gf still uses my old iphone 5 and it's on 11.x as well.
btw, we could use more soapboxing on this board - hear, hear!! _________________ asus rt-ac86u stock: 3.0.0.4.384_45149

Like to provide some perspective at times and using the soapbox tag lets people know it is my opinion and can read or not.
In my case the stuff I get from Verizon to the iPhone is just carrier update stuff, no iOS stuff.
From what I have seen from the posts you are an old IT guy as well. Spent 30 years with IBM, 5 years teaching Netware and Windows server, then 15 years in networks for large US wide company with many locations tied back to central data center.
