This problem has been dealt with for other Buffalo models, but those posts haven't solved my problem.
I have a Buffalo WHR-300HP2D. Buffalo support website shows software older than what the product was shipped with. dd-wrt's ftp site shows a similar router name (WHR-300HP2), but that firmware fails to load with "upgrade failed" message.
1. Is this the same router?
2. Is the WHR-300HP2D firmware-us.bin the correct one to be loaded via the administration panel?
On the off chance that I had found one bad version of the firmware, when 10/10/2017 failed, I also tried 2/1/17, but it 'upgrade failed' as well.
The answer to my first question is that the working dd-wrt software on this router, in the status section, shows it is a WHR-300HP2, so the HP2 and HP2D are the same thing.
tftp doesn't work either.
