I have been wanting to test this as a means to give each machine on my network its own external IP and possibly even improving Internet performance by reducing the AP's workload.....can it be done in DD-WRT? I've never seen it talked about here on the forum, and I don't see any obvious interface for doing it in the web administration panels.....

try just plugging your ISP into one of the 4 switch ports...

that should work with a little tweaking.
