Have a strange problem that started a few days ago. Cannot reach dd-wrt.com from any computer on my network, wired or connected to wifi.
Have tried to diagnose but cannot sort it out. The following is what happens:
- Cannot reach dd-wrt.com from any browser using fqdn or ip-address
- If I use "dig" against my specified dns servers they all resolve to the correct ip address
- ping does not return a valid response for either fqdn or ip-address
- Using my phone, on mobile internet, reach dd-wrt.com without problems
- Have no problem in reaching other websites in general and everything else seem to work fine.

What could cause this behavior??

The wife is blocking dd-wrt.com because you spend too much time on it?
Really no clue, I have no problems, curious what the problem is.

Yeah! Really strange. Haven’t got around to connecting a computer directly to my fiber modem yet to see if that fails too.
Have tried with the two latest Kong builds, power cycled but problem remains.

You haven't done anything mean to the DD-WRT people to make them block your IP have you Twisted Evil

Can't figure why your ISP would block them either but never know.

I know at times it is hard to reach (or can't reach at all) dd-wrt.com but that usually only if they are working on something.

That is very strange that your main network can't reach'em Rolling Eyes

Have you tried "traceroute" to see where the fault is?

I have to clear my cache once in a while using chromium for some reason.
Try another browser?

Looks like aixit-ic-310160-ffm-b12.c.telia.net (62.115.52.250) does not have a route back to your public IP.

Does the sites that work go through this node?

Try to ping these two nodes:

aixit-ic-310160-ffm-b12.c.telia.net (62.115.52.250)
ae0-3003.er1.of.aixit.net (83.141.5.106)

Cannot ping these two sites. I’ve tried to traceroute a few sites that works and these do not route through these nodes.

clear your browser's cache
use incognito or better yet, use guest mode
if none of these work, use a different browser
also, does using a different connection or bypassing it help you?

Are you using OPVN client by any chance?
I had to route forum.dd-wrt.com outside the vpn to access some features using PIA.

Otherwise seems pretty darn odd.

Nope! I’m pretty sure there is a problem at my ISP. Have filed an error report. Let’s see what happen.

Update:
Tech support from my ISP contacted me about this issue. They did not find any issues. Had me connect a PC directly to the fiber modem and that works.
Something really strange is going on but definitely router related. Have reset the router, cleared cache in browsers etc but problem remains. Really strange that, as far as I know, only dd-wrt.com is problematic.
Any further ideas?
